Royal Approval

Relaxed, informal and happy occasion

The trustees, local Mayors, funders and families welcomed HRH The Duke of Kent on Thursday 14th April. The afternoon was a great success and a fitting celebration of Sand Rose’s achievements.

It was both a moving and cheerful event with a delightfully relaxed, informal and happy atmosphere. More than 50 guests attended as well as 20 children and everyone gathered on the lawn for an impressive array of tea and cakes.

The Duke of Kent was shown around the cottages and garden by our Chairman and spent time talking privately with bereaved families currently staying at the cottages. Also attending were local funders, Cornwall Councillors, representatives from the military, police and bereavement support agencies.
